A romantic gift to melt her heart! What a wonderful idea – a kiss in a gift box! Red Ruby Rouge have scored a winner with this solid sterling silver necklace. It arrives in appropriately sturdy but minimal cardboard packaging which fits easily through the letterbox, so no worries about parcels being left with next door or having to go to the post office et cetera. It arrived promptly and all the packaging was recyclable and plastic free. The gift box gave me a frisson of excitement as it was revealed! High quality and beautiful in itself. No need for further gift wrapping from the giver (a bonus!) The white box is wrapped in a wide red ribbon bow which is beautifully done. The box is embossed with the red ruby rouge name and features a small red ribbon with a red drawer which pulls out revealing the necklace. It is a delightful thing to open! The necklace is 100% sterling silver and features a wide ‘kiss’ cross. I would say that it is timeless in design – that it will probably last a lifetime and be a ‘go to’ necklace for all sorts of occasions.
The chain is very fine and delicate but seems strong enough for its purpose. I wondered what length it would be and whether it would have enough adjustment to be appropriate with different outfits but I need not have worried. The minimum chain length is approx 40 cm and the maximum is approx 44 cm – more than enough adjustment. It is hypo allergenic. It comes in plain silver or with a gold plated finish. And the manufacturers offer a 30 day money back guarantee which makes you feel reassured. I found it perfect for almost every outfit. This is a necklace that can be worn with ‘going out’ clothes or as every day wear.
I have worn it for both. The Red Ruby Rouge website is a real treat to view. All sorts of beautiful jewellery well described and photographed. I came across three pairs of earrings which would make potential matches to go with the necklace

These would compliment the necklace and dress it up to ‘party wear’. The necklace would make a perfect Christmas present, or indeed a really perfect ‘sorry’ present..! or indeed an Anniversary present.. but also birthdays of course or a ‘just because I love you’ gift. It could also be a lovely present for a mum, daughter or grandma – it is simply an expression of love or affection after all. And probably suitable for any age from 12 to 112.. If my husband had given me this gift it would have instantly melted my heart! A really beautiful and classically simple piece of jewellery.
Good value for money at RRP £49.99. And good to know that it’s produced in the UK too. I can’t recommend this highly enough. A truly romantic gesture and a quality product.
