Frankie & Benny’s Stockport Review

Reviewed by Gemma Berkul

I was really happy to be chosen to review Frankie & Benny’s Christmas Menu in Stockport. As I only have a few days left on maternity leave I was so happy to be able to spend a day with my special aunty, eating a nice lunch in a nice restaurant.

Our table was booked for 12pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant is situated on a busy retail park, which has many well-known shops there too. This is good to know as you can go shopping and then treat yourself to some nice food which are all next to each other.

We arrived at 11:55 in the car park. My aunty has a disabled badge and we were lucky to get a parking space literally just outside the entrance door to the restaurant. I would recommend you allow plenty of time to find a space if you have a table booked as it is a very popular retail park which is very busy. This is also a pay and display car park.

Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by a very welcoming and smiley deputy manager. She assisted us to our seats. As I had my 7 month old baby with us she led us to seats which had room for the pram. She also gave us a great little baby chair which attached to the table which is very sturdy and safe. My 7 month old was very happy in there for the duration of the meal which was great! There are also standard wooden high chairs for table where they can fit round.

Both my aunty and I ordered the same food which was a pulled chicken sandwich which came with chips and coleslaw. My aunty and I thoroughly enjoyed this food. The restaurant became increasingly busy as it was lunchtime but still our food arrived in an acceptable time once ordered. The staff were very pleasant and although they were working very hard, (as they were very busy) they still managed a service with a smile!

As we both have a sweet tooth, the chocolate brownie and ice cream was an obvious choice and I have to say it was absolutely delicious and I would definitely recommend this desert.

The lunchtime menu had a variety of choice which consisted of a choice of starters, pasta’s, sandwiches and wraps, American classics, salads and desserts. Starters were £2.50, mains £6.50, deserts £2.50 and soft drinks £2.75 which is refillable. I think these prices are extremely reasonable.

The toilets and baby changing facilities are very clean and the baby changing table is a good size too. The restaurant was a very pleasant environment to have a lovely meal. There was some nice background music and the decor is nice too.

All in all I would give this restaurant 5/5. Great friendly service, delicious food and lovely, clean environment. It is situated in an ideal location, just off the M60 junction and on a retail park.

Rating: 5/5
