Frankie & Benny’s Christmas Menu St Ann’s St Manchester Review

Frankie & Benny’s sits in the heart of the centre of Manchester in the lovely St Ann’s St, so after a busy morning of shopping and browsing the Christmas markets my friend and I arrived at the restaurant at 1.00pm where we were welcomed in by the waiter who showed us straight to our table. The barman introduced himself too and made us feel welcome.

The restaurant was decorated in the theme of an Italian-American diner, with the red seats and Christmas decorations the atmosphere felt warm and inviting especially with the festive tunes playing in the background.

Two glasses of Prosecco arrived promptly and we sipped them slowly whilst leisurely deciding what we would like to eat. The restaurant offers two menus, a general one with lots of choices we opted for the Christmas menu.

The food was ordered and we relaxed, chatted and had a real catch up whilst our starters arrived. I tucked into the potato skins which were amazing whilst my friend opted for the smoked Salmon Bruschetta and we both agreed we had made good choices.

The main course was very well presented as I chose the Frankie’s Festive dinner (Half a roast chicken with pigs in blankets, stuffing balls, rosemary roasted potatoes, mixed vegetables, and red wine gravy on the side) which came with everything you would want to make the perfect Christmas dinner: the chicken was cooked to perfection and I enjoyed the stuffing and bacon covered sausages or as they are traditionally known ‘Pigs in Blankets’!!  The burger and fries got the thumbs up from my friend too!!

Throughout our stay we were served by two wonderful waiters who assisted us with our drinks and menu choices and were thoroughly professional and attentive.

Having eaten we decided to stay with the two course option which was great value at £16.95 per head which included the glass of fizz, if you are feeling really hungry £19.95 includes a dessert.

I would fully recommend this restaurant to get you into the party spirit as it is a good location, clean and well decorated, competitively priced with good quality food. I will be returning as it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and the staff clearly enjoy being there too!!
