Gallinée Face Mask And Scrub 100ml Review

As a fully qualified level 2 beautician, there is not much I do not know about the face, facial treatments and products, so I was delighted to receive Gallinée Face Mask & Scrub 100ml direct from Holland and Barrett to review.

Upon opening the box, I took out the product and straight away, noticed how strong and sturdy the tube was, making it easy to hold and squeeze from.

I found the product to be very thick and quite coarse, having sensitive skin, I was ok, however, just a tad too coarse for me personally. Saying that and on the other hand, the product is brilliant, it leave the skin feeling and looking amazingly glowing and my skin felt fantastic. My husband even noticed ‘inadvertently’ when he came home and said, ‘you look radiant, what have you done’, bless him, he may well have just been saying it for the sake of it and it was coincidence lol.

Before applying the mask/scrub, the best way to use it is after you have prepped your skin as follows:-
Cleanse, wash it off and and then tone. For a deeper cleanse, cleans and tone, then cleanse again and you can leave it on for a short while (5-10 minutes), what it off, then tone again. It is always important to cleans as this closes your pores.

To damp skin, apply the mask/scrub gently by using the tips of your fingers in a circular motion. The tube says to leave it on for 5 minutes, I left it on for 10 but always follow the instruction first and see how you go. Once your time is up, wash it off with warm water and once you have dried your face, do not forget to apply toner again. The mask/scrub will open your pores and again, once washed off, you need to close the pores again. The reasons for repeating this process is to ensure no particles of dirt, grime, dust etc. get into your pores.

I was really surprised at how my skin felt and looked. I felt so clean, refreshed and bright. Like any mask/scrub, it is ideally best used twice a week and ideally no more than that as it can over stimulate the skin and its natural sebum (oil). This is particularly recommend for anyone with oily/combination skin.
