Mad Beauty Friends Advent Calendar Review

Christmas time is fast approaching, along with the thoughts of gift buying and here is a perfect pre-Christmas gift for any Friends fan. A Mad Beauty Friends Advent Calendar is the perfect treat for any Friends fan to help them count down to the Christmas season with a range of differently fragranced bath fizzers hiding behind each of the 12 doors.

The Advent Calendar is great for anyone who loves/has a bath as it contains 12 bath fizzers of a variety of sizes and fragrances including 2 peony and cherry blossom, 2 lemon and mandarin, 2 passionfruit, 2 honey, 2 vanilla tea and 2 coconut. The packaging around the bath fizzers includes a small sticker with a quote or phrase from the series, which is a fun touch. Phrases such as ‘How you doin?’ and ‘I’m the holiday armadillo,’ amongst others.

The bath fizzers do not smell very strong out of the packaging and also, there is not a very strong fragrance once put under warm running water. The bath fizzer dissolves quickly in the bath and does not leave any residue afterwards. I tested the Vanilla Tea bath fizzer and although it smelled nice, I did not notice the fragrance after a while.

Another nice touch is the detachable iconic yellow peep hole frame around the Advent Calendar that can be reused later, a great ‘perk’ for any Friends fan. I have attached mine to the back of my living room door, but it can be put anywhere or turned into a frame for a picture or a photo.

The Friends Advent Calendar is well made from strong cardboard and features a range of characters and objects in cartoon form from the different series of Friends on the front, including Marcel the monkey and Ross dressed as the holiday armadillo.

Any Friends fan and bath fan will love this advent calendar. But I think it would have been even nicer if there had been the traditional 24 doors to open, not just 12. I also think it would have been nice to have had some festive especially for the Christmas season.

Mad Beauty have a new licence with Warner Brothers and have launched this Advent Calendar along with a variety of other cosmetics and products and more importantly, Mad Beauty state on their website that they ‘do not carry out testing any animal testing on any of its products’, which is great to hear.

This Advent Calendar can be purchased on the Mad Beauty website here for £17.99.  For 12 bath fizzers, the price works out at £1.50 a bath fizzer, which is a great price for a bath fizzer, so combined with that and the Friends factor, I think this makes a great gift at a great price. A perfect Christmas time treat for people of any age.
