BALANCE ME Glow and Replenish Set: a Tried and Tested Review

BALANCE ME is a British skincare brand that offers skincare that is natural, cruelty-free and made right here in the UK. They are also vegan, paraben free and sulphate free to boot! Their Glow and Replenish set contains a trio of products (with a combined value of £75 in total, yet you’ll only pay £56 for this, so it’s a bargain to boot too!) to revolutionise your skincare routine: their pure skin face wash, vitamin C repair serum and wonder eye cream. In other words, everything you need for brighter, looked after and happier skin. All housed in a gorgeous bright print gift box (which really makes a statement) so it really is a perfect gift for any occasion.
The first item I put to the test was the pure skin face wash. It’s 125mls so it’s a great size and will last for ages. This wash is a mild, gentle wash that left my skin feeling refreshed and not at all dry. It glided on and I felt as if my skin was left thoroughly cleansed. I usually use a cream cleanser, and this was a little runnier than that, but was still a pleasant change. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the scent of the cleanser-personally it felt a little strong but that may be down to personal preference.
Once I’d cleansed, I then lathered on the vitamin C serum (30mls; plenty for a serum) which was my favourite product of the gift set by far. I was obsessed with the scent of this one-a gorgeous zesty lemon-which helped me feel uplifted first thing when applying it, even if the weather was far from pleasant outside! It has a real lightweight, smooth texture and when applied feels really luxurious on my skin, which I could feel instantly drank it up. The serum is an anti-aging serum and can also help with redness and moisture. It replaced my current moisturiser and left my skin feeling plumped up and moisturised without feeling oily. I can see myself using this product again and again and it will definitely become part of my skincare routine.
Finally, the last product in the range is the wonder eye cream (15mls). It’s the smallest bottle but trust me: a little of this goes a long way and really helps with puffiness under my eyes. It’s infused with cucumber oil, which I loved as it felt really refreshing. I often find eye creams can irritate my eyes and cause watery eyes, but this one didn’t, which was a huge bonus!
So what’s the verdict? I really liked this gift set. It’s not only great value for money, but it’s a complete skin care routine in a box. All of the products are designed to help your skin look and feel better, and they’re natural too! If you’ve never tried BALANCE Me it’s a great introduction to the brand and would be a great place to begin if you’re overhauling your skincare routine.
