9 to 5 The Musical Kings Theatre Glasgow Review
9 to 5 The Musical

This fast-paced portrayal of three women’s hilarious if drastic revenge on a sexist boss makes for a cracking night out. Inspired by the 1980 film and with the music and lyrics bearing the masterful imprint of Dolly Parton, the show rattles along at an entertaining lick from start to finish, underpinned by a simple but sound storyline.
There are engaging, beautifully judged performances from all the leading ladies, Jackie Clune, Amy Lennox and Natalie Casey, while Ben Richards is fantastic as the overblown bigot of a CEO who makes their lives a misery before they take matters into their own hands.
To the delight of the audience, Dolly puts in an appearance in hologram form, and even gives her vocal chords an airing towards the end of the performance. Camp, uncomplicated, and wonderfully entertaining.
