Sketchers D’Lux Walker With Air Cooled Memory Foam From Wynsors Review

Being the daughter of someone with diabetes, who always struggles with getting shoes that fit right to allow his feet to breathe, I am always on the look out for the perfect shoes that will help my father. When I was offered the opportunity to review the Sketchers D’Lux Walker, I knew that these would be a brilliant light weigh pair of trainers to add to my 75 year old dad’s collection. Sketchers have a great reputation world wide so I knew they wouldn’t disappoint.

He’s recently been talking about getting some new sketchers as he had some Go Walks a few years ago and he found these were great for his feet. So I was thrilled to be able to surprise him with these Sketchers D’Lux Walkers. His shoes need to be just right as he also gets gout and I was very excited to see if these shoes would be a win for him.

The shoes arrived well packaged and are a really nice dark shade of blue with a grey sole. I like the grey sole as usually a white sole with a dark upper is a sharp contrast this can look cheap. These look trendy and are a really nice, light weight walking shoe. They have 5 eyelet lace fastening, padded collar and tongue with soft fabric lining and a comfort insole. Also a rubber traction outsole.

The shoes have a really nice squishy memory foam insole that’s makes these trainers seem like you’re walking on clouds. They have a great grip on the under-sole of the shoe which gives great support when out walking. Something that is paramount when looking at shoes for my dad.

Although my dad isn’t into fitness, these shoes are perfect for those that like to stay active. They have a light weight upper material that allows your feet to breathe, so no smelly shoes. They are also machine washable when washed on a gentle cycle on cold and left to air dry. This is a real bonus, especially if our walking in the autumn months and our shoes can become muddy quite easily.

My dad was really impressed with these trainers and expressed how comfortable his feet felt in them. He doesn’t like his shoes too tight fitting and he said how he had room for his feet to breathe in them. They are designed to have a roomier fit and this was really evident.

My dad also falls a lot in his regular shoes so we were really pleased to find that he didn’t fall at all wearing these shoes due to their really great grips. I think we have a found a winning shoe for him for when he goes out and about.

Rating: These trainers ticked all the boxes for what we were looking for. They are a sturdy, yet lightweight design with style and technology all built in. Definitely a 5/5. These would make the absolute perfect Christmas gift for a loved one who loves to keep active or just needs a comfy walking shoe.
