Schleich Therizinosaurus Review

What a beautifully detailed model dinosaur. My 11 year old budding palaeontologist recognised the type of dinosaur immediately and was impressed that the feathers on the back of the dinosaur had also been included. The colours and shading on the model are very precise and detailed even down to the tiny pupils on the eye as well as very impressive claws.

The model is heavy enough to stand on carpet without keep falling over but light enough for even a 3 year old to play with happily. My son was really happy that this model had some moving parts (arms and jaw) but would have been happier if the head moved as its moulded to one side as if he’s looking to the side which doesn’t always work in ‘let’s pretend play”.

On the whole though my son, who has been collecting dinosaurs for nearly 10 years and is very particular about the details, was very impressed with this model and loved it!
