Saskias Flower Essences Review

I have certainly been transported to lovely, sunny, garden days this week with the arrival of a beautiful review item from Saskia’s Flower Essences. The item I received was a bottle of pure rose-water with flower essences from their spray range – a certain mood enhancer in these stressful times.
Saskia’s Flower Essences is a company based in Somerset which produces high quality essences by infusing local spring water with various flowers and organic alcohol. The company promote the healing energies of the plant world – a totally new concept to me but so interesting. Flower essences have been shown to help deal with a whole range of emotional issues and using a combination of them, they can be a great source of support during any difficult times.

The floral essences from this company come in two forms – drops that can be taken orally or as a spray which surrounds you with beautifully scented air to restore harmony and revitalise you.

The small 30ml spray that I received was simply packaged and the blue spray bottle – though plain – has a very classy look about it. All the other bottles of products are in identical bottles so would look good as a collection as you tried different essences. The spray can be used directly onto the skin or sprayed into the atmosphere around you. The sprays are made with hydrosols that have been distilled in a copper alembic still before being bottled at the company base in Somerset. Each spray contains various essences which work together to help restore peace and tranquillity to your daily lives. I loved the delicate rose perfume.

Along with the spray which arrived wrapped in delicate tissue paper and secured with a golden star, there was a very informative handbook which explained about all the flowers that are used and which combinations work best for a person’s individual feelings.  I must say I found this totally intriguing – so many well known plants and flowers with secret abilities. With Mother’s Day arriving soon, I think this would be a great present for Mums who have had such a stressful time lately. Any way in which we can help to rebalance their lives and help them enjoy life has to be a good thing. What better way than through the power of flowers. Once experienced, they will be able to add other essences to their collection to deal with other emotional times.

The spray I received – Personal Space Spray – contains essences of yarrow, borage, walnut, buttercup and pontentilla all within that gorgeous English rose water base.

The essence drops have various uses. Not only as oral drops but they can also be used in your bath and mixed with face/body creams. They are reported to be safe for children to have diluted in drinks and can even be given to your pets!

A very interesting product. I have learnt so much looking through their very informative website and will certainly be looking to use some of their other products to help with day-to-day relaxation and personal energy goals.
