I love this game, it is not just a general car race you get to damage properties and destroy you opponents.
During the race you not only have to try and finish first but damage buildings, lampposts parked cars, petrol stations and anything else that gets in your way, but be careful something’s can only be damaged by using the extra power. The extra power is gained by causing damage and drifting as long as possible around corners. The name of the city you are driving in says it all, Shatter Bay.
The cut scenes when you crash your car or destroy an opponent (fragging) as absolutely great, slow motion action of the cars being flipped over and destroyed.
It takes a little while to get used to the controls and I am slowly getting the hang of drifting but I find that once I lose control of the car after drifting I have trouble getting control again so inevitability finish last. But the good thing is if you can’t finish first just try for as high as you can and destroy as much as you can to collect points which move you up the ranks and unlock new cars and maps.
Overall a highly addictive game if you can stick with through the learning curve. The graphics are very sharp and the gameplay is great. And as I am yet to finish first in a race I am slowly moving up by collecting as many points as I can and I love the damage I can cause and fragging my opponents.
Highly recommend and I will be playing for a long time to come. More challenging than a standard racing game and lots of fun. Great value for money.
