Dr Quincy (Jack Klugman) is a medical examiner working for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office and with the help of his lab assistant Sam Fujiyama (Robert Ito) investigate deaths that at first glance seem natural (like the death of a teenage football player) but Quincy always finds a suspicious reason and has to investigate further to get to the true cause of death. Once he has decided there is foul play he takes on the role of detective and with his forensic medicine skills sets about doing the police work and trying to find the exact cause of death and bring the killer to justice.

Overall Quincy, M.E is a great crime drama about a very strong willed forensic medical examiner come detective that is determined to find the true cause of death of the people he receives in his lab. His strong personality and his desire to find the truth, find the killer and maybe stop other deaths make it very enjoyable viewing.
