It was such a delight to receive the friendly-faced Poppy the Count & Stack Flower Pot, for children aged 18+ months, from the outstanding and award winning Learning Resources company. Offering the ideal blend of imaginative play with skill development and multi learning, Poppy the Count and Stack Flower Pot would be a fabulous and well received Christmas gift for any child in the recommended age category.

The Learning Resources Company can always be depended on to create simple but very clever and exceptional toys, which discretely cover so many developmental areas. Founded in 1984, the Learning Resources company is my go-to for toys, they are always well made and super for little learners. The company produces very reliable, high quality educational items which are ‘recommended by teachers, trusted by parents and loved by children’.

With a cute name and appealing design, Poppy the Count and Stack Flower Pot would be joyfully received by any little one on Christmas Day! The sweet flower pot features six two-piece flowers that children can put together then rearrange. Each of the flowers is a different colour and is also thoughtfully printed with the numbers 1-5 to support children with both colour and number Identification. Covering many developmental skill and learning areas such as imaginative planting, story telling, matching, counting, sequencing as well as having fun, Poppy the Count & Stack Flower Pot has it all and more!

The toy offers a 4-in-1 fun learning experience whilst integrating various bright colours, a selection of numbers and helping to develop counting skills. In addition, there is a ‘handy handle’ for having fun on the move! We found the pieces to be chunky, durable and perfectly sized for little hands, they also feel lovely and smooth to touch, with no rough or sharp edges – just as you would expect from any Learning Resource product. The individual pieces are also self-storing and stackable, with 6 green flower stems and 6 colourful flowers.

One ideal focus of the Count & Stack Flower Pot is to ‘grow new fine motor skills with Poppy!’ We loved pushing and pulling the little stems and flowers from their spots. This all helps children to build hand strength and coordination as they hold the pot in one hand and whilst pulling the flower with the other. The flower pot also offers opportunities to learn and reinforce number recognition and counting skills while enjoying playing. With its adorable, bright colours the Poppy flower pot also introduces little ones to colour identification. It really is a genius toy, as we played we discovered countless ways to learn while having great fun – adults too!

The perfect addition to a little one’s Christmas list, the Poppy the Count and Stack Flower Pot will have busy little learners engaged for hours. A cute, fun, very well made toy and very good value for money. Our little one absolutely loved it!
