On Saturday we were asked to review a fantastic 3 course lunch at The Blue Boar in the beautiful market town of Witney, Oxfordshire.

When we arrived we found that the restaurant area was set back from the main pub area and was tastefully decorated with wooden floors and leather seats. After sitting down and looking through the menu we ordered a Sharing Platter of Anti Pasti for our starter and a Rib eye on the bone plus the pan seared Pork with Broccoli for me. The restaurant has an open plan kitchen so you can see you food being prepared and cooked. Both our meals were cooked to perfection.

Our drinks complemented our meals well; I had a Sauvignon Blanc and Simon the Tempranillo.

We had a short break before our deserts which were Sticky Toffee pudding for me and Simon had the Lemon Posette. After letting our deserts settle we had coffees to follow.

The servicing staff were attentive and friendly too. Overall the meal and experience was excellent.
