Playmobil City Life Tiny Paws Pet Hotel Review

We are massive fans of Playmobil in our house and have been lucky enough to try out several playsets over the years. My twins are animal mad, whether that be pretend play animals or real animals. This Tiny Paws Pet Hotel playset from the City Life range is therefore perfect for them. It arrived quickly, which was a good thing as I think I was possibly more excited than my twin sons about trying it out. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The playset did need to be built, however whilst I did initially find the thought of this daunting, I needn’t have worried as the instructions were so easy to follow. It didn’t take me long at all and soon we could play with the pet hotel. When built it measures approx.29.9 X 9.4 X 7.5 inches (Length x width x height).
The set contained the hotel itself, a see saw, 2 kennels, several dogs of various different breeds, a wheelbarrow, pet food, a bird and bird stand, dog leads, trays and produce, outdoor lights, plants, garden tools, food bowls & treats, a fence to keep the hotel pet guests safe etc. The pet hotel even has a dog flap leading out into the garden. There is also a pen to keep the pets in. There is even a garden bench and a kitchen counter with a washing machine, LCD TV, sink and cooker. Shelves are provided to store animal accessories and there is even dedicated shelving for food storage. A sticker sheet is provided which is great as you can use them to decorate the walls of the hotel to your own taste.
I love this item just as much as the Sindy house I was proud to own as a child. What lucky dog guests having all this lovely space to roam around. I also like the fact that you can set the whole thing up to your own taste, so you can use the washing machine outside if you like or have the seesaw inside.
I can see this turning into a favourite toy in our house. It is just wonderful. I think that Playmobil have got the combination of figures and pets just right too. The quality of the set is outstanding. I tend to keep the little pieces in a plastic storage container when the set is not in use. I also love the fact that spare parts can be ordered from Playmobil. That’s good to know if a part goes missing or gets broken.
I think at an RRP of £59.99 this set is excellent value. The parts could easily be used with other Playmobil playsets too, or the parts of other Playsets with this playset. The dogs have been off on many an adventure via boat since becoming a part of our household. The pieces from the Playmobil advent calendar which we have also reviewed could also be used when playing with the hotel too. I think the dog guests would love sitting on some of the chairs and having a nap.
A good quality playset with plenty of scope for imaginative play.
