Crossfly is a company founded by a small group of people with lots of experience in the sports industry, their wish is for all of their products to become your everyday favourites, prioritising comfort, quality and sustainability.

The first thing I noticed when I unpacked these underpants was the softness of the fabric, the pair I was given to test was Ikon from the everyday collection, they are made from a modal fabric. Not being familiar with this fabric I looked for more information and discovered that in addition to being ultra soft and stretchy it is more sustainably and more hard wearing than cotton, it also has built in anti-bacterial and sweat wicking properties, the perfect attributes for this type of garment.

Next the fit, the pair I tried were a size smaller than I would normally wear but they were a perfect, comfortably snug without being tight, the waistband was nice and wide and came to comfortable position on my waist, all the time I was wearing them I never felt like they needed pulling up or adjusting, this is probably down to the “zero fold 360” feature that provides a four way stretch, they have two features that is unique to this brand the “x-fly” which allows easy access from the top of the pants and the “cocoon” an internal pocket to provide added comfort and support.

They were washed at the recommended 40 degrees and came out of the wash looking like new. They didn’t hold a lot of water so were quick to dry naturally, and I realised that these would be ideal for traveling especially backpacking or camping when drying laundry is difficult.

There’s often a joke made about men always getting socks and underwear for gifts at Christmas but I would be more than happy to get some more of these in my Christmas stocking. At a price of £24.99 they are a bit more expensive than your average underwear but men like a bit of luxury too and these are luxury. They are presented in a fully recyclable box so easy to wrap if giving as a gift.

Another justification for the higher price is that the company say these will withstand 100+ washes without any deterioration making the cost per wear minimal.

The Ikon style is available with a 3”or 6” leg in a range of colours including a quirky skulls and hearts design that would be great for Halloween. The price is the same regardless of leg length.

If you’ve never tried Crossfly before they are so confident that you will love them they will give you your money back on your first pair if you are not happy.

On the company website crossfly.com you will find the full range including multipacks and a range of socks, there’s free shipping on order values of £50 or more and all returns are free there is also a discount given when purchasing multiple items, “ the more you buy the more you save”.
