Planet Hollywood London Review

Me and my family went to Planet Hollywood, an American themed restaurant packed with movie memorabilia, located not far from Leicester Square in London.
We arrived in the area earlier than planned. Our table was booked for 4.30pm so I thought I’d asked if we could eat earlier and luckily they were happy for us to do so. From the minute we set foot in the door the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were seated and given a moment to browse the menu, there was such a variety of food and drink to choose from including burgers, pizzas, wings, hot dogs and cocktails. The children’s menu included unlimited drinks a main and desert.
I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and my partner had a steak done, just the way he likes, and my daughter had the pasta. The portions were huge! All the food was cooked to perfection and was full of flavour.
The sweet and sour chicken was stir fried and came with red and green peppers, onions and fresh pineapple served with white rice.
The steak was served with a creamy peppercorn sauce, fries and a grilled tomato and green beans.
The La Lasagna pasta was fresh pasta tubes filled with ricotta cheese, bolognese meat sauce and peppers, covered with a garlic cream and tomato basil sauce.
After being quite full after our mains we decided we had to try desert. We had white bread pudding with ice cream, my daughter had ice cream and I had chocolate brownie with ice cream and cream. The deserts were by far the best we’ve ever had, nothing has come close to just how gorgeous these deserts are the prices are about average for the area but of much higher quality than anywhere else we’ve eaten in the area.
The atmosphere at Planet Hollywood was brilliant with music and film clips showing on TV’s around the restaurant. You can also text a message to a number and get your message shown on screen. While eating I happened to notice a message on screen saying welcome to me and my guests this was a great surprise making this a dining experience like no other.
Dotted around was famous items from films such as a crossbow from Star Wars, the whip from the Indiana Jones films and the gold suit from the Austin Powers films, upstairs there are handprints from people like Sylvester Stallone, Jackie Chan and George Clooney.
Planet Hollywood is a must see and a great place to eat, I can’t say a bad word. Everywhere was clean, all the staff was super friendly and it is a family friendly restaurant. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend this to everyone, we had a fab time.
