With the number of devices we rely on daily, a wireless charger that’s bold, modern, and sofa-friendly feels like a dream come true. So I was thrilled to test out the KRAFTED Couch Wireless Charger, a sleek, silicone pad designed to drape elegantly over your sofa arm and keep your phone powered up without disrupting your downtime. It’s the kind of product that promises to blend style with practicality, and I was curious to see if it could deliver on both fronts.
The packaging made a great first impression. The KRAFTED Couch Wireless Charger arrived in a smart, deep blue box that felt premium without being excessive. Inside, the charger was neatly folded and held in place by a cardboard sleeve, minimal packaging, maximum impact. The charger itself is made from a flexible, flat silicone that’s soft to the touch and designed to grip securely to your sofa arm. It’s lightweight (just 180 grams) and slim enough to blend in, though I did find that the arms of my sofa were a bit too wide for it to sit as stylishly as the graphics on the box suggested. On a narrower arm, I imagine it would look much more like the sleek accessory it’s marketed to be.
Functionally, the KRAFTED Couch Wireless Charger ticks a lot of boxes. It supports both Android and iPhone devices, which meant the whole household could top up their phones without hunting for a plug. That alone made it a hit with the family. It delivered a fast charge, and the 2m cable was generous, long enough to reach awkward sockets or trail discreetly behind furniture. However, the connection at the end of the lead could be sturdier, and a USB adapter in the box would’ve been a thoughtful touch, especially for electric sofas with built-in USB ports (like ours). As it stands, we had to get creative with how we powered it, which slightly undermined the plug-and-play convenience it aims for.
Performance-wise, the KRAFTED Couch Wireless Charger did exactly what it promised. Phones charged quickly and reliably, and the anti-slip ridge kept it in place even during the most dramatic sofa flops. It’s also Magsafe compatible and Qi2 certified, which adds peace of mind for those of us who’ve had one too many charger mishaps. The silicone pad felt secure and didn’t slide around, even when the sofa was in use, a small detail, but one that makes a big difference in everyday use.
That said, there’s room for improvement. While the charger worked well, it didn’t quite live up to the stylish visuals on the packaging, our sofa arms are wider than average, so the sleek drape effect was more “functional flap” than “design statement.” And while it’s great for phones, it would’ve been a game-changer if the KRAFTED Couch Wireless Charger supported smartwatches too. My watch needs charging more often than my phone, so a dual-purpose pad, or even swappable modules for Android and Apple watches, would’ve made this a standout. Even the option to choose between phone-only or phone-and-watch versions would elevate the product’s versatility.
Overall, the KRAFTED Couch Wireless Charger is a clever concept with solid performance and a premium feel. It’s not quite the centrepiece it promises to be on every sofa, but it’s a stylish solution for low battery anxiety, especially if you’re tired of tangled cables and missing chargers. With a few thoughtful tweaks, it could go from “nice to have” to “can’t live without.” And for households juggling multiple devices, it’s a welcome addition to the living room tech line up.
