I’ve been looking forward to this review for a couple of weeks. Taking selfies, scrap booking, and videos are our children’s favourite things to do, so hopefully the Photo Creator 3 in 1 instant camera is a good starter kit.
The Photo Creator 2.0, 3 in 1 instant camera has really good packaging, it shows the camera really well, it’s colourful and shows everything that comes with the camera on the back of the box. All of the packaging is recyclable, which is a big plus.
Inside the box I found a camera, charging cable, a 4G SIM card, stickers, 100 sheets of photo paper, 25 black,25 blue,25 pink,25 orange, a black and white camera strap, some coloured pens and a good instruction leaflet.
The camera is very tactile, great for smaller hands, and a really nice light green in colour. The camera is USB charged, so no running around for batteries, the first charge does take a while. Whilst it is charging a little red light comes on, when fully charged it goes out. The papers contain the ink and are thermally printed, it takes a couple of seconds for the picture to come out, perfectly dry. You can put in 10 sheets at a time.
The pictures are good, for scrap books, ect. I found that I had to use the flash and ring light to get a good picture though. You can change the camera settings from 3m to 48m, and also change the video quality which is really good. They are not perfect but I did not expect them to be. The camera is easy to use, easy to print, so great for a first camera for younger children. Whilst you are preparing to take that perfect selfie The camera has 27 built in backgrounds, including frogs, hearts and bank notes to help liven up your pictures. The papers have small, coloured circles on the back which indicates the colour, either black, red, blue or orange. Personally I am not sure if I like the colour papers, but it’s just my opinion.
The camera comes with a 4G memory card so you can store your pictures and choose which you want to print. The camera is also a video and selfie camera. I did have to reset the camera twice, as the software struck, it is really easy to do, just a bit frustrating. The video footage is good and clear. Perfect for the children to make home movies, and again they can be stored in the Memory card. All images and videos can be downloaded onto a laptop easily. You can also take the SD card to most photograph printing shops. The camera comes with colourful stickers and pens so you can add a bit more personally into the pictures.
The Photo Creator 3 in 1 instant camera is a good first camera for younger people, however, I think that it is a better video camera than an instant camera. There are a lot better instant cameras available for older children, granted they are slightly more expensive.
The Photo Creator 2.0, 3 in 1 instant camera is on sale at Smyth’s for £ 54.99, and other good toy stores.
Refills are available from £12.99 for 100 sheets.
For younger children who like scrapbooking, home video’s I think that the Photo creator 2.0 would make a nice Christmas or birthday present. I know my younger nieces are going to have fun making short videos and selfies. I do like that you can easily purchase refills.
I give the Photo Creator 3 in 1 instant camera 3 out of 5.
