Personalised Vistaprint UK Wall Calendar Review

I really struggle to find unique gifts at Christmas for certain friends and family member’s so I am a huge fan of anything personalised as it shows effort and time, as well as hopefully being a truly appreciated present. The drawback with anything like this is that you have to actually find the time to put the effort in, so for me it has to involve an easy website to master or I will give up pretty swiftly.

I haven’t used Vistaprint before but my experience has been an entirely positive one, from navigating my way around the website to adding my photographs and making the fine adjustments to their positioning to create my calendar. I had to communicate with members of the Vistaprint team in order to carry out this review and found them to be very helpful, which is reassuring should you encounter any difficulties or have any queries.

I chose to create the A3 classic Calendar with top binding, but there is an A4 and a double middle binding option. There are so many designs to choose from, and you can make slight changes to the design you select or you can make life easy for yourself and stick with the standard format.

I would suggest you choose your photographs beforehand so that you can load them together as this allows you to play around with the arrangement a bit. Also choose more photographs than you actually need as you will likely find that the quality of some is below what Vistaprint would recommend. I won’t lie, this is very annoying when you select a photo that you love and the “low quality” message pops up. It is your choice whether you decide to still use it or not, but my advice would be to “listen” to the warning messages as I now have a top-quality product as a result of my doing that.

I love that you can use more than one photograph for each month and the front cover (I varied between 1 and 4), but my favourite feature was a handy little button that shuffled the layout of the photographs if you were using 2 or more on that particular page. It allowed you to see options of the photos in different sizes and placements, and it took the hassle out of attempting to do this manually.

The Vistaprint website is well laid out and very easy to use. It is great for people who have a basic knowledge of loading photos and just want to keep it simple, but it also allows people who are a bit more technically minded and particular about how their design should look to have a play around without getting in a muddle. You can add important dates with text or clipart, and really take your time to personalise the look of your final product should you wish.

You have the option on the completion of your calendar to pay a small extra charge for a thicker glossier paper, and I would highly recommend that you do this as the quality is outstanding.

The product arrived quickly, and I was updated with emails throughout the process. It arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. The photographs are crystal clear on the highest quality paper. I love the small black and white photo on the back (a smaller version of the front of the calendar) as an extra little touch.
There is plenty of space to add your important events onto the calendar, but due to the glossy finish you may find that some pens work better than others when recording things down. The price of £21.99 for the A3 Classic Calendar with Top Binding is amazing for such a quality item, I really cannot fault it in any way.

This would make such a lovely and thoughtful Christmas gift. I covered mine in photographs of my children for their Grandma, but I equally could have used a month for everyone in the family or used photographs of her favourite places to walk and visit. I did think that this would be an amazing gift for anyone with lots of pets too! I would award this calendar 5 stars out of 5 for the quality, finish and ease of use for the website.
