Oscar Charles Beauty is a family-owned business that was established in 2018. Their range includes, make up brushes, skincare and beauty accessories. It is a small selection, but I feel that has allowed them to concentrate on delivering quality products at affordable prices.
They are ethically minded, and ensure their products are cruelty free and never tested on animals. They are vegan, so contain no animal-derived ingredients. And they ensure they prioritise natural preservatives, fragrances and source sustainable packaging, to minimise the effect on the environment.
I was very impressed with the customer service and delivery process. Upon placing my order, I received an email, which included an order number, then the following day, an email from Royal Mail, to say my parcel from Oscar Charles Ltd, was on its way. This included a tracking number with an estimated due date and a two-hour time slot. There were also options to change the delivery instructions, such as leave with a neighbour or in a secure place. This service Oscar Charles has chosen to use was Royal Mail Tracked 48hr. I think the ordering and delivery process is very reassuring for its customers, particularly as they seem to be mainly an online brand, where sometimes it can feel difficult to know who to trust.
I can confirm they are a legitimate business selling good quality products, if I have any criticism, it would be their enthusiastic online presence. I am now seeing multiple Oscar Charles adverts across all my social media, under different circumstances and had I not already placed an order, I may have been wary too.
The Luxe Pro 17 Makeup Brush Set is beautifully packaged, in a sleek black box with a gold central band with OSCAR CHARLES embossed on the front and rear, with its logo on the top. The information on the packaging tells me, that the set contains 15 makeup brushes, brush case, beauty sponge and brush cleaner.
The case is very nice; a black leather look, tube design, with neat top stitching that enhances the quality, and it is subtly embossed with the Oscar Charles branding. Its two halves are secured by rose gold press stud fastenings and as it opens from the centre, allowing both to be used as easily accessible pots, to hold the brushes on your dressing table. But then also having a carry case to store them away securely or when travelling.
Each brush is individually wrapped and features a rose gold band that secures the brush head to the black handle, each is again branded with rose gold writing and includes individual numbers which will identify the size of the brush, useful if you need to replace one in the future as they can all be purchased individually.
The hair of the brush feels extremely soft to touch, and gentle when applied to the skin. They are, all of differing widths, tapering to perform different tasks to apply your makeup. From the largest for foundation to the smallest which is double headed and includes a wand for eyebrows. The addition of the beauty blender is useful, and the brush cleaner is an unusual design that I have not seen before.
The set will make an ideal present for a teenager, or you may want to treat yourself, I think these brushes will make a great addition to your beauty regime.
