Nash Bridges (Don Johnson) is a lieutenant with the San Francisco elite Special Investigations Unit. He is a charming, streetwise policeman who doesn’t quite play by the rules with 2 divorces behind him. His partner, Joe Dominguez (Cheech Marin), is a retired policeman who comes back to make up his pension credits and together they get themselves into some sticky situations.

The first season of Nash Bridges sees Bridges and Dominguez tracking down stolen computer chips and anti-tank weapons, taking on the Triads, Russian Mafia, Drug Dealers and preventing an assassination attempt on the Mayor.

Overall, I found Nash Bridges to be a good quality action-packed police drama with some good humour thrown in especially from RuPaul as a transgender sex worker who comes up with some funny quips and when Nash’s boss has to become an Elvis impersonator. Along with trying to solve crime he has to also deal with his 2 ex-wives.

Good quality entertainment with well thought out storylines, highly recommended.

Rating: 5/5
