We enjoyed reviewing some wonderful Morrisons Festive Food at the weekend.

Roast Dinner
Stuffed Turkey Breast Joint – £8.99/kg

Whole Baby Parsnips with a Sticky Maple Glaze -£2.00

Brussels Sprouts and Chestnuts  – £2.00

Goose Fat Roast Potatoes – £1.49

Turkey Gravy

I made a hassle free roast dinner for my family with these items.  The turkey was cooked to perfection and the skin was very crispy.  I am not usually a huge lover of brussel sprouts, but I had loads of these ones. The goose fat roast potatoes were lovely. The turkey gravy finished off the meal perfectly.

There was enough turkey joint left over for a couple of day’s worth of turkey sandwiches.

The meal was easy to prepare and the cooking instructions clear. That is great for a cooking novice like myself. The whole meal was top quality but ideally priced for those of us who are on a tight budget.

Dessert
Chocolate Bombe – £4.00

Rudolph Bread – £1.69

The chocolate bombe was tasty but not too sickly. It was the perfect size for our family of 5. The Rudolf bread was very moreish and didn’t last long at all.

Party food
American Party Platter – £2.50

Poppin’ Chicken – £1.00

Pastry Party Feast – £5.00

None of these items lasted long. They all tested delicious. The poppin’ chicken was especially popular with the children.

Overall, Morrisons Festive Food offering is fabulous. It’s priced reasonably without compromising on quality. I hadn’t had such a lovely home cooked meal in a long time. I would recommend Morrisons to anyone.

Great food and excellent value for money.
