MoonBlanket Compact Review

It is summer which means I am trying to spend every single second that I can outside and that means trying to get as much camping in as possible. I love camping but it is always hard to know what to pack. Even on the sunniest days it can get really cold once the sun sets and I often end up packing lots of blankets and jumpers which just take up so much space. This is where the Moonblanket Compact by Ticket To The Moon comes in handy. Not only is it a blanket but with only a couple of adjustments it can also be used as a poncho!

I was really excited to review this item as I am always looking for objects that make my camping trip easier and this is definitely one of them! Firstly it only weighs around 800g and comes with a cute little bag to pack it in so it doesn’t take up too much space. It is made from 20D crinkle nylon and is filled with 100% RPET Insulation ECODOWN by Thermore® which means not only is it incredibly comfortable but it will also keep you warm at temperatures around 5°C.

The packaging is beautiful and you can tell all the material is really high quality as it not only looks but also feels luxurious. When it first arrived I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to turn it into a poncho as it didn’t come with any instructions. But I soon realised why it didn’t come with instructions – because it is so easy to do! All you have to do is unzip the hole in the material and put it over your head with the pocket facing forward.

I took this camping recently and loved how versatile it was. Once it started getting cold in the evening I put it on as a poncho as we sat chatting while it got dark. Obviously it is quite an oversized poncho but I liked that as it meant I could wear several layers under it if it was really cold or only one layer if it wasn’t. Then when I was ready to sleep I just took it off, zipped up the hole and used it as a blanket. It was so comfy that you won’t want to get out of your tent in the morning though!

I highly recommend the Moonblanket Compact by Ticket To The Moon for anyone going camping! It is the perfect thing to wear around a campfire as it starts getting cold as well as being a really warm comfortable blanket and on top of that it is so lightweight and compact you don’t need to worry about not being able to fit it in the car.
