Mizzie The Kangaroo Memory Match Flash Cards Review

Reviewed by Jo Hardy

This little pack of 36 cards is packed full of play value.  The pack can be used to play four different games and the memory game can be played at three different levels, perfect for one person to play or the whole family could play together.  The memory game is also a good game for mixed ages to play together and I found the whole pack was great for children to play with their grandparents, good brain exercise for both of them.

Mizzle is a kangaroo from Queensland Australia and all the cards feature images connected to Australia’s beach culture and bring memories of sunny days at the beach.  They are a really good way for a child to start learning about another country.  I was really surprised when after only playing four games our three year old was able to recognise the shape of Australia, before playing the game she didn’t know anything about Australia.

On the back of each card is one of three symbols in the top corner and this is what you would use to sort the memory game into the three different levels.  Doing this is a game in it’s self, teaching the child to group and sort.  The cards are slightly larger than the average playing card so easy for little hands to hold.  Our little one absolutely loved playing the memory game and couldn’t wait to move up through the levels.  I was amazed at what a good memory she developed.  She was far better than me at finding the right match even when I thought she hadn’t taken much notice of the card she turned over she could remember where the match was and the look of pride on her face when she got the matches was lovely to see.

This pack of cards is so easy to pack in your bag ready for any times you may have to entertain a young child, perfect for traveling when hanging around at airport’s etc or any rainy days while on holiday. I can also see these useful when visiting other people to stop the children getting bored while you chatted.

This product makes a lovely little gift and with Easter in mind , a lot of parents don’t like their children to have lots of chocolate and these cards would make a good alternative gift.
