L’Italiano Park Plaza County Hall London Review
L’Italiano

We arrived at L’Italiano fairly easily, it is in walking distance from Waterloo Station and has various transport links.
Our first impressions the restaurant was very clean, décor was fitting with the Italian theme and had an open plan kitchen so you can see the chefs at work. We were the first customers to be seated but as the night went on it got quite busy including a large group and also people dining alone.
The staff were extremely polite and helpful, very friendly towards my two young children, giving them colouring pencils to colour in the pictures on the children’s menu which kept them occupied whilst waiting for their starters. The food was amazing, very authentic Italian food, very flavourful and everything served to an exceptional standard. The chef requested we try the chefs special which was pizza with buffalo mozzarella and basil which we all, including a fussy 5 year old, thought was delicious. The portion sizes were not too large yet not too small like some Italian restaurants. Each course was bought to our table on time, with the children’s meals being set down first followed by the adult’s meals. The waitress made sure we had our glasses filled and had everything we needed and made us all feel at ease.
At the end of the evening my children were given a goody bag containing a wooden yo-yo, a lollypop, a wrist band with the companies name and phone number on, an activity book and colouring pencils which for the kids rounded off a perfectly good evening.
We would definitely considering going to this restaurant again and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of booking a table.
Although the bill came out fairly high it was value for money considering the location being in London.
I have no faults to add so I am giving L’Italiano a 5/5.
