Limited Edition Snoozy Fox Children’s Tea And Mug Gift Set From Small And Wild Review

A cup of tea always brings back fond memories from my childhood. My grandma was always an avid tea and biscuits at 10am followed by coffee and cake at 3. It’s a tradition she’s got my children into but I’m sure it’s more for the biscuits rather than the tea for one of my children.

When I first saw the request to review Small and Wild Snoozy Tea Set, I was intrigued. I’d never head of the company before but loved what I saw on their website, so I was quite excited to receive our box of goodies. We received the Snoozy Fox Children’s Tea and Mug Gift Set. The box was bright and inviting to the children with a beautiful illustration of a sleeping fox. Both of my older children dived straight into the box asking what it was and if it was for them! A big tick in the ‘yey’ box for me is the packaging as it is all recyclable in either your general recycling or your compost. As a family who are trying to cut down on their plastic waste, I’m always drawn to companies that are offering recyclable or sustainable packaging.

The first thing my eldest picked up was the mug. It was the perfect size for his little hands to hold and he was instantly telling me all about the details of the Fox on the front of the mug. The mugs are silk screen printed and decorated by hand; the detail is wonderful! There are 4 mugs to choose from and you can buy them in a full set, individually or as part of a tea set. I think they’d make lovely gifts for young children for birthdays, easter, christmas or as a gift to grandparents to have something for the children when they come to visits. We always had our own mug at my grandparents which made our tea and biscuit mornings even more special.

We brewed our first mug of tea for 5 minutes with a combination of 2/3 boiling water, 1/3 cold water as stated on the side of the box. I have to say once it’s brewed if you didn’t know what it was you may be a little put off by the colour but luckily the kids weren’t, and both had a taste. My eldest wasn’t a fan and my middle child said it was too hot (it feels a little like a childhood book right now!). We left it by to cool a little before they re-tried it but unfortunately my eldest still wasn’t keen, but my middle child was very happy to sit and drink it. I tried my own cup once I’d got the children too bed and found I really enjoyed it. Although the flavour says camomile, spearmint and lavender I did struggle to taste the spearmint which is a shame as I quite enjoy the taste of mint in tea. I found the drink to be really relaxing and a nice way to wind down after a busy day with the children.

There are 4 flavours to choose from and each compliment a time of the day. Snoozy Fox for bedtime, Merry Tiger for after playtime, Jolly Croc for the afternoon slump and Happy Toucan to warm you up from the winter chills. I think the next one we will be trying is Jolly Croc as the kids love the crocodile illustration and I like the sound of banana, strawberry and apple. We’ve also got my nephews first birthday coming up and I think the tea and mug gift set would be a perfect 1st birthday gift!
