My favourite product of the Lotil brand has to be the nourishing foot cream. It is a rich, non-greasy, moisturising cream with a thick, almost mousse-like, consistency that penetrates deep into the skin and intensively moisturises the stubborn dry areas that need it most. Having applied this moisturising cream daily (mornings and evenings) for five days, it has left my feet with soft supple skin that, even after only a relatively short space of time, feels much more hydrated and noticeably smoother.

Made by Fenton Pharmaceuticals in the UK, Lotil products have been trusted for over 100 years and are a firm favourite in many households. This foot cream contains many ingredients of Lotil’s well-known original whole body moisturiser along with Rosemary extract which is a highly effective antioxidant, and Aloe Vera which is a natural ingredient that has been used in skin care for thousands of years and is recognised for its soothing properties and anti-inflammatory effects.

Our feet work incredibly hard by carrying the entire weight of our bodies around each day and so the skin on the soles is significantly thicker than that on the rest of the body to act as a protective barrier from the friction caused by standing and walking. Because of this I’ve found that some other brands of moisturising cream simply aren’t strong enough to penetrate the sole’s thick layer to be able to nourish the feet and as a result have very little effect on the condition of the skin. I spend a large amount of time on my feet and often find them to be tired and sore at the end of the day. Moisturising them with Lotil’s foot cream has helped to provide some relief from this. The skin around the balls of my feet and my heels is particularly hard so for the first couple of nights I used this cream, I gently filed the problem areas, applied a generous layer of cream and then wore socks overnight. This was a good way to kick start the rehydration process and will now form part of my regular moisturising regime – even feet need a little self-care from time to time!

So far I’ve been really impressed with this product and the effect it’s had on my feet. I’m no longer embarrassed to get them out in my Christmas strappy shoes and am looking forward to Spring and Summer when I can show them off in flip flops!

As well as day to day use for yourself, this cream would make a great gift for someone that loves a pamper session, possibly teamed with a foot file, hydrating foot mask or even a pair of funky socks!

Suitable for people with dry skin, those suffering with eczema and psoriasis, and people with diabetes, this is an all-rounder and comes highly recommended.
