Eddie Izzard, the best and most flamboyantly dressed, funniest and arguably most talented comedienne is back on tour, but this time, in Shakespeare’s Hamlet – a solo show that has had audiences in London, New York and Chicago gripped.

As well as being a fluent French speaker, did you know that she has also performed to audiences around the world in German, Russian and Arabic? Partnering a love of language and acting, it is therefore no great surprise to see that her solo World Tour of Shakespeare’s Hamlet has been critically acclaimed and arrives at The Lighthouse, Poole on Wednesday 22nd October 2025.

Nominated for the New York Drama League’s Distinguished Performance Award and the Outer Critic’s Circle Outstanding Solo Performance Award, the play has been adapted by Mark Izzard and directed by Selina Cadell and is presented by Mick Perrin Worldwide Ltd in association with PBJ Management

Izzard’s strong stage presence, energy and humour make this, for me, an unmissable show and one that I look forward to with great anticipation.

Eddie Izzard is at The Lighthouse, Poole, for one night only on Wednesday 22nd October 2025.
