How To Look Younger: The Book On How To Feel Like A Better You Review

For the last 9 years, I have always eaten cleaner and healthier and I have not looked back. I like to be able to eat what I want, when I want, without fad diets and subscriptions. Whilst this book does not promote either of these, it does come with a leaflet promoting a number of supplements (please see my comments below relating to point 6 under the heading ABOUT THE BOOK.

As I have been doing this for so long, I am always on the look out for new ideas, suggestion and recipes and was bowled over when I was asked to review this book.

Kathryn Danzey is a firm believer that you can become younger by turning back our biological clock. She wrote the Youth Plan to condense over 40 years’ experience into a 4 week action plan to kick start your youth boosting journey.

ABOUT THE BOOK
‘4 weeks to a more youthful you’. That is the claim on the book and whilst my review will be submitted much earlier than that, I can not wait to see and feel the results in 4 weeks time.

There are 8 sections to this book:-

1. Introduction
This covers information relating to your skin, blood sugar levels, energy levels, lean and strong body and redefining your body shape.  There are 5 pages within the introduction that guides you through the above.

2. Super Charged Foods For A Strong Body
This section is all about the ‘white carbs’ (natural sugars), Fats, the good, the bad and the really ugly ones, dairy, grains & yes, 
 the infamous alcohol. It is amazing how well the body performs, regenerates and energises itself once you cut out or down on alcohol. I know only too well and it is a life changer.

3. Lets Hydrate
Yes you guessed it, this section is all about water and the benefits of it, along with the symptoms outlined if you are not or do not drink enough.

4. Strength & Flexibility
From posture to excessive, this book really does get you thinking and motivated.

5. Sleep & Relaxation
I love this section as I am an NLP Master Practitioner in NLP and these two subjects are very important to any daily life.
In the book, Kathryn writes about sleep, metabolism and stress and how all these impact on our body and daily life. I loved the section at the end of it that gives you a Quick Technique For De-Stressing, try it, practice and live it, just this small change will help tremendously.

6. Our Secrets To Natural Beauty
This covers the topic of collagen shots, vegetarian collagen, protein smoothies, protein soups and Aliol capsules. There is more that is mentioned in the leaflet that comes with the book. I have added a link below for further information on the products you can buy.

7. The Ultimate Project – You
This is just a page about what you want and there is even an empty box for you to write in. These can be your aspirations, goals, ideas etc. Go for it, it will really set the starting post for your new journey and by writing it down, you are more likely to do it or them than just think it.

8. Weekly Menus
I love this section with a passion!

Each week has a coloured column for each breakfast, lunch and dinner and what makes this a game changer in comparison to other books, is the fact that it also has a shopping list for you to follow. I love this as I do not have to work out what I want and need along with the qualities, it is all done for me. What is there not to love about this section. I am like a kid in a candy store lol.

8. Recipes
These definitely score a 10/10 for me as each recipe has a beautiful coloured and illustrated photograph of the meals. I do not know about you, but personally, I love a picture, it enables me to know what I am aiming for what the end result should look like.

Each recipe has a list of ingredients and the method to make it.

At the back of the recipes section is a section with recipes for dips and dressings and drinks. OMG… the Beetroot Latte and the Avocado Smoothie are amazing!

Whilst the menus are listed with breakfast, lunch and dinner, there is a section in the book that covers snacking to which you will find a list of suggestions from a smoothie, olives, eggs, salad to yoghurt, smoked salmon, cake and more. All of which the recipes for these are in the book.



Rating: 
4/5.  

The reason I have not given it 5/5 is that I feel it can be a costly plan to follow with all the suggestions of the protein powders, capsules, collagen shots, etc. This can be very pricey and may put potential buyers off.
