Hey Duggee Bubble Bath Clock And Encanto Fizzer Block Set Review

Having a Hey Duggee-loving 4 year old in the house, we were excited to receive the Hey Duggee Bubble Bath Clock in the post. The product arrived quickly and well-packaged in bubble wrap. The pack is 500ml.

I really like the design of the packaging – the shape of the Duggee’s head, is a plastic container with cardboard ears, to complete the Duggee look. The packaging is fully recyclable, through household recycling bins when empty. However, the best and most unique feature of the packaging, without a doubt, is the clock-face, with movable clock hands on the front. So not only was the product great as a bubble bath, but it helped make bath time an educational fun time too as you can ‘tell the time with Duggee’. My son is at the age where he is starting to learn to tell the time and anything that can help kids engage with this, in a fun way, is always welcome!

When I opened the lid to the bubble bath, some of the product spurted out and made a slight mess, but this was quickly cleared up. It is likely to be due to the fact that the opening is at the bottom, rather than at the top as is the case with most other products like this.

I was pleasantly surprised by the shimmering gold colour of the bubble bath, and it had a really lovely fruity fragrance. When squirted into the bath, it bubbled well, and the bubbles lasted the duration of the kid’s bath time. The bubble bath was easy to use, and you can use as much or as little as you like, to create the perfect number of bubbles.

I would absolutely recommend this product to any Hey Duggee fans and it would be an ideal stocking-filler for a child age 3+ My son absolutely loved it.

I also received an Encanto ‘The Family Madrigal’ Fizzer block set in the same package. There were 7 x 40g attractively packaged Encanto-themed bath fizzers. The box would have benefitted from being bubble-wrapped too, as sadly each block had a crack in it. However this didn’t affect their use at all; each fizzer was individually wrapped, and despite being cracked, they hadn’t crumbled.

Living with a 4 year old bath fizzer fanatic, we were so excited to receive this package. The most appealing thing about these fizzers was that they were such lovely, bright colours – in pink, green, orange, lilac, red and yellow. Each block had an embossed leaf design on the front and one of the Encanto characters on the back – Mirabel, Isabela, Luisa, Bruno, Antonio, Julieta & Alma.

The individual wrapping was easy to open, so my son could select the colour he wanted and pop it straight under the running water, and watch the magic, as the water turned the colour of the fizzer, making bath time much more exciting for him. We resisted using more than one colour at a time, but the possibility is there if that’s what you wanted to do. What’s more, the colour stayed for the duration of bath time, which was great.

There was a light fragrance to the fizzers, but not over-powering, which is ideal for use in a child’s bath. The fizzers are marketed at age 3+, which I think is appropriate.

The outer wrapping was a cardboard box, which can easily be recycled, and the individual plastic wrapping can be recycled as single use packaging, where facilities exist. I had initially believed that each block would be the depth of the outer carton, but in reality, there was a cardboard inner, supporting the blocks, which was half the depth of the box.

These fizzers are priced at £7, so each fizzer costs £1, which is in line with other products of this type, and I would definitely recommend this product to others, it is ideal as a stocking filler. I am also planning on buying this for my niece this Christmas.
