After what seemed an eternity of my children being at home during the lockdown, I had a phone call offering for them both to go back for a couple of days per week for the last few weeks before the summer holidays. I then set on the mad rush trying to find the essential bits, such as lunch boxes and water bottle for them to take for their return to school. I found the water bottles ok, but the lunch boxes seemed to have taken themselves off into the deep dark void that all the missing socks and hair bobbles seem to go…
I was therefore so grateful to find out that I would be receiving a super cute lunch box from Frugi to review. My daughter is 10 and on packed lunches, whereas my 6-year-old son has school meals. It was perfect that the lunch bag we received was a really cute girly (but not too girly) design with rainbows and sunshines (very fitting with the rainbows for the current situation, this made me smile).
My daughter’s favourite colour is blue, so when I presented her with the lunch bag, she was over the moon with the whole design. She went away to plan her school lunch to ensure that it would all fit in nicely and was very excited to be able to show her friends (who she has missed terribly) her new lunch bag.
The Frugi Pack a Snack Lunch Bag range come in 6 different designs that I would say would suit any primary school ages child, they have diggers, dinosaurs and even unicorn print to tempt even the fussiest of child, (I know, I have 2 of them). In addition to the super adventurous outer it has a foil lining to keep the food contained fresh though to lunch time. There is also a pocket on the front for a secret treat stash. The main compartment is large enough to fit one of the Frugi Splish Splash Steel Bottles.
The range also comes with a matching backpack and pencil case, so you can truly kit out with coordinating items for back to school or even for days our and holidays. Personally, this is something I would buy as a set for staycations. My daughter loves matching items and we will be having lots of UK holiday stays this year with the current situation with Covid-19. But it will also be used once she is back to school in September. The lunch bag is excellent quality and I can see it lasting for a good while. The lunch bag is made from 100% recycled polyester with a PU coating. It has ae easy to carry handle and a sewn in cloud shaped name tag. It is wipe clean and the dimensions are approx. 21cm x 18cm x 7cm.
Overall, we were very happy with this little lunch bag and my daughter found it nice and compact to fit in her school bag, yet it still allowed her to fit enough food in for her growing body. She expressed how much she liked the design and has asked for the pencil case to match (she is a little budding artist).
