Eye Majic Instant Eyeshadow Ponytail Scarf Giftset Review

I am always looking at ways that I can save time getting ready whilst also perfecting that Instagram ready look. Watching YouTube tutorials of how to apply eyeshadow like professional MUA, highlighting and accentuating the eyes seems to take more products and brushes than I can count. So I was more than intrigued to give the Eye Majic Instant Eyeshadow Ponytail Gift Set a go.
The giftset comprises a pretty silky hair band; mine was a lovely geometric pattern, perfect for keeping my hair out of the way whilst getting ready. Next is their moisturising super soft black twist up eyeliner pencil and four different instant eyeshadow combinations. In my set I had shade 12rv, 2, 10 and 16.
Each of the eyeshadows is in a handy resalable plastic container. First up I decided to try out Shade 2 – cappuccino which is two shades of brown with a highlighter. It is a really good neutral colour which I would wear day or night. What struck me as soon as I opened the packaging is just how shimmery and pretty the eyeshadows are. When I checked online the manufacturers say that the eyeshadow is cut to a finer grade than traditional eyeshadow, so it has more pigmentation and lasts longer.
I took the first pad out lined it up with my eye gave it a quick press and then a slide across. I couldn’t believe it; there I had it, perfectly presented eyeshadow in seconds. I used the end of the pad as directed to just blend slightly, but still it took a fraction of the time I usually take applying my eyeshadow! Next, I opened the eyeliner, with a twist up pencil it’s really easy to apply and I found it was really smooth along my eyelid. Quick application of mascara and I am ready for the day.
At the end of my day before taking off my make-up I was impressed to see that the colour was pretty much as it was in the morning, minus where I had rubbed by accident. Over the next couple of days, I worked my way through the other colours. Shade 16 – Natural blonde is a pretty golden brown which I liked for day wear, 12 rv is pink and brown and shade 10 is a fun blue and pink. All the colours lasted well and reading up I was glad to see that they are made without fillers or preservative, are paraben free and importantly cruelty free.
I think Eye Majic Instant Eyeshadow are a fun and easy way to professional looking makeup in seconds. I was thrilled to bit with the gift set, it was well presented and had a good selection of the products to try. I am off away this weekend and will be saving space in my suitcase not having to take a full make up kit!
