Connetix was not a brand I was familiar at all with despite having had four children! It seems they are a large brand of educational toys with endless packs and possibilities. An Australian brand who obviously take safety seriously, their products are also food grade nontoxic. The packs we received were both age three years plus, and although fairly easy to use, I think children aged four and over would get far more enjoyment from them.

Our four year old grandson was here when we received the Connetix which come in sturdy boxes, which are of a very good quality and will provide storage for the tiles etc for some time to come, he exclaimed wow, these are beautiful! He really couldn’t wait to open the packs and eagerly sat at the kitchen table as I opened up both boxes.

The tiles are a variety of colours, which is great, as you know your child is learning right from the off, both colours and shapes. He spent some considerable amount of time building houses, towers, square boxes and clearly his imagination was sparked. The tiles are easy to use and more than suitable for little hands. He has an absolute fascination with magnets already, so in principle knew how to put them together. They are light in weight, which is definitely a plus for little people. I think the endless possibilities that the tiles, big, small and in a variety of shapes bring to children makes them interesting.

He really couldn’t wait for the rainbow ball run to be built, and to be honest, we could have done with grandad to help us out. I was a little challenged in this department and it took some you tube videos and Tik Toks for me to get the hang of it. He absolutely loved the end results and giggled lots when after my triumphant cry that the ball run actually worked and look how clever Nanny is, it collapsed!! I guess I am not as clever as I thought. We have four grandchildren the eldest has just turned 13 years old, and I think these magnetic tiles will appeal to him as much as the younger ones, especially on a rainy day.

To be honest as an adult I found it quite a rewarding half hour building it all up, and once you get the hang of how it all goes, it actually gets quite easy to build up. Although our four year old was quite impatient, so it’s a good job I found the you tube video on building hacks! I think we will most definitely add to the packs we have got, certainly lots of other packs appealed, there are endless different designs that all look great. It’s a great educational but fun toy that makes children think as they play. Everything in the packs is of great quality and seems very durable, so it’s most certainly a thumbs up from us!
