With more and more people conscious of both what they put in, and on their bodies, organic and natural products are getting ever popular. Most products contain chemicals or toxins, which can be harmful for our body and skin so with that in mind I am really keen to look into 100% natural options. In the past these have been more basic, but with more time and research there are now some luxury skincare products emerging onto the market.
With my skin losing some elasticity now I’m over 50, I’m very open to trying new products instead of the same old products I have used for my youth. Being giving the opportunity to try out one of Sakrid’s organic moisturisers was perfect timing and I couldn’t wait to try it out.

Having been a bit stuck in my skincare ways, I must admit I hadn’t heard of the brand Sakrid before, so I took the opportunity to check out their website and learn a little more. Interestingly the product was founded by Natalie whilst looking for a healthier and safer skincare option, when her mother was going through cancer treatment. She discovered that you could make a effective and natural range without it being full of chemicals and whilst also being affordable.
I was sent the Sakrid Superfood Frenzy Organic Moisturiser to review, which is unusually suitable for all skin types. When it arrived in the post, it felt heavy, and on opening I discovered a really expensive looking glass bottle with silver pump dispenser. It immediately made me look at the price on the website, where I was pleasantly surprised to see it was £24.00 for 50ml, half the price of some popular brands. The branding I really liked, a clear bottle so you could see how much you had left of the product, with clear black writing on the front and all the small print hidden away, but easy to read, on the back.
I found the pump dispenser really easy to use and it dispatched just the right amount of moisturiser. The first thing you notice when it comes out is the amazing smell, its both fruity and flowery at the same time, kind of like blossom. With avocado, rosehip and liquorice being the main ingredients its easy to see why it smells so good. On my skin it felt light and non greasy, yet hydrating, soaking in incredibly well. Its not heavy or thick at all but you do feel you have a decent moisturiser on, not a cheap, thin one. The fragrance stays on your skin too, which I really liked. I found after using for a week that my skin felt plumper and more hydrated with less fine lines which is just what I need. This really makes me what to try some of the other products in the range such as the organic, shampoo, conditioner or body wash, with beautifully designed packaging, these would also make great gifts.
I have found the Sakrid Organic moisturiser very successful for my skin type, and it definitely improved my complexion, but you can also add their Facial Serum packed with Rose and Broccoli (rrp £29) should your skin require an additional boost. Whilst not the cheapest on the market I found the Sakrid moisturiser to be great value for an organic & natural a product that actually works, and I would highly recommend it my only request now is to make one which contains a natural SPF in so I don’t have to cover it with sun cream!
Rating: Highly recommended 5 out of 5
RRP: £24.99 for 50ml
