A flaunty and fun evening with lots of excitement put together by the performers staring in the Burlesque show, I have previously watched the Burlesque a few times during the previous years but this was the best by far. The Burlesque show is only suitable for ages 16 and over.
The evening hosted by the crazy and scary lesbian vampire queen, Rosie Lugosi who is very interactive with the audience she has a witty humour and can be rather suggestive.
Situated in our very own booth we had a great view of the stage, which overlooked group candle lit tables below, myself and my partners mother had no problem seeing or hearing the fabulous acts on stage.
The entertaining acts during the evening included:
– Ava Ahotsa a vocalist from Oldham who provided the audience with slow and sultry live music throughout the evening.
– Helen Orford the amazing hula hoop artist from South Yorkshire and originally a performer in the circus industry put on a fabulous hula hoop performance which was very fascinating to watch and soon went one step further as the lights went out the hula hoops lit the auditorium up with the bright LED lights as Helen performed Flight of the Firefly.
– Havana Hurricane a blond bombshell originally from Derby caused a stir as she took stage in vintage outfits and began dancing before teasing the audience in low motion strip show getting down to just tassels and chains.
Many more talented acts to mention including a belly dancer took stage to enlighten the audience.
At the Lowry there are many shops, restaurants and bars for you to take advantage of before the performance starts. Plus if you decide to buy something from any of the outlets they will stamp your car park ticket so you get up to 4 hours free parking.
The shopping outlet is only a short walk away from the theatre, once we arrived we went straight to the ticket desk to collect our tickets. The man was helpful and friendly.
We bought drinks from the one of many bars at the Lowry and was allowed to take them into the auditorium.
Thank you for a fantastic and enjoyable evening. I would definitely recommend anyone to watch the performance.
