I had a amazing opportunity the other day to review the walk experience at the i360 in Brighton. I’m most definitely no daredevil, so I was extremely nervous and very excited to have a go at walking 138 metres high on top of the i360 pod. Children aged from 10 and upwards are allowed to participate so I brought my 12-year-old daughter with me, The i360 walk experience is available at various times throughout various months and prices start from £35 per person, we arrived at just gone 8 am for an 8.15 start and was soon directed inside where we were shown how to put on our safety harness which was checked over by staff as well. I love that they had phone holders to safely take our phones up with no risk of us dropping it. We then entered the pod to start a short seven minute journey up to the top. The views were amazing and there were different boards signposting the different sights that we might see depending on the weather. We were lucky that the weather was clear and we could see for miles. Once we reached the top we made a short climb up the ladder and there we were 138m standing actually on top of the i360 pod, it was just wow, it felt so exhilarating and absolutely breath taking. At all times the clipping and unclipping is done by the staff which I felt was very reassuring. Once on top you have a short harness allowing you to walk around the top as you please but no point are you rushed or pressured and it all felt very relaxed and enjoyable. I couldn’t fault any of the staff. One lady was unsure and very nervous when she did make it up to the top one of the staff walked around with her. They were so encouraging and caring and made everyone feel at ease. About 9.50 we made our way down and the experience finished about 10. We got some photos taken while on the top and these were emailed to me later that day. This was such a memorable experience for me and my daughter and we had such a great time. As it’s coming up to Father’s Day I would highly recommend this as a Father’s Day present that would be a unforgettable experience that a father and child could take part in together. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to experience this with my daughter.
