Brainstorm Toys Ultra Flyers 2 Return Stunt Planes Review

My twin sons, or ‘Twinkles’ as I often call them, had their 9^th birthday in the summer holidays.  I wanted to make it extra special this year.

I really like the brand Brainstorm Toys because they sell a lot of toys which I feel have a fantastic educational value.  I love the fact that with some toys, children can learn without even realising they are doing so.   As a family we do try to lead a healthy lifestyle as much as possible.   I was delighted to receive 2 packs of this product so my twin sons had one pack each.   The product arrived in perfect condition and I was glad to see that there was not what I consider to be excessive packaging.  The packaging looked exciting for adults and children alike and had lots of useful information on it.

Having looked at the website it said ‘unique design means planes loop and return’.  I was intrigued to find out whether I could get the planes to do this.  Find out later in this review.

I love the bright colours of the planes and the fact that you get 2 differently coloured planes in each pack.  The packaging has a very sensible warning ‘Do not aim at eyes or face’.   The product is a choking hazard and is not suitable for children under 3 years. 

My twins found these stunt planes easy to use.   When I tried I was so happy to find out that they did indeed do a loop and then return to me.  In my opinion they flew a good distance but not too far.  I also like the fact that the material the plane is made from feels soft.   I keep finding the stunt planes in various locations around the house as my twin sons have been going back to them over and over.  I do love a toy that keeps children engaged and therefore has good longevity.  I can struggle to find toys and activities which keep my the attention of my sons.

I think that this product would make a great birthday gift, ‘just because’ gift or Christmas gift.  I think that the packaging is the perfect size for this to go into a child or big kid’s Christmas Stocking.

Having had the opportunity to review one or more other Brainstorm Toys products in the past (on a gifted basis) I can wholeheartedly say that I would recommend this product and Brainstorm Toys to others.  I think that the RRP of £6.49 represents good value due to the fun value of this product and there being 2 stunt planes in the pack.  I think that this toy is great for encouraging families to have screen free family time.
