BIC 968495 4 Colours Design and Shine Ball Pen Review

Reviewed by Michelle Alexander

Firstly, hats off to the 13-year-old Evie Sherry who designed this beautiful and colourful pen and was voted the overall winner. Evie’s design was inspired by Vexx, an artist active on YouTube. Well done Evie.

This is an awesome multi-coloured ballpoint pen that you may have had it in your school pencil-case a few years ago, or maybe decades ago because they’ve been around for that long.

It’s a chunky barrelled pen but not uncomfortable. It’s easy to hold and handle especially the mechanism which switches ink colours that work really well.

The mechanism doesn’t get jammed up like it did back in my schooldays, which makes it easier and quicker to work with.

At the top of the pen are four coloured latches, black, red, blue and green and you simply and easily, slide down the one you want. Sliding another colour latch disengages the first and replaces it with another ink colour. All the colours are visibly clear but not brightly coloured. The ink flows beautifully and makes writing so therapeutic.

The pen has 1.0 mm tips which are just right for anything from writing and drawing to colouring. What makes this pen so great, is that it’s refillable.

Each ink cartridge writes for an average 2km for a total of 8km (this is Bics statement, not mine).

The model of the pen is called BIC 968495 4 Colours Design and Shine Ball Pen.

The pen retails for just £3.99 with free postage and packing on orders over £20.00 on Amazon or, if less than £20, postage and packing is from £4.49. If you have Amazon Prime, your postage and packing is free regardless of how much you spend.
