CLEAN V Spiced Apple Non-Alcoholic Spirits Review

Wow, I was not expecting to enjoy a non-alcoholic spirit drink as much as I did with the Clean V Spiced Apple non alcoholic-spirit by Clean Co. We regularly buy non-alcoholic spirits and it was great to find one that was affordable and would look amazing and stylish in a drink’s cabinet. The bottle makes it look like it’s a premium brand, it’s sophisticated and clean.
So, back to when the package arrived. I’m always a bit concerned by having glass sent through the post but gosh it was packaged so well. Not only was the bottle in a very sturdy box that was made of thick cardboard, it had a cardboard bottle protector around it. It therefore arrived in perfect condition, ready for us to try out this new non- alcoholic spirit.
I was so excited to twist the lid and try it out. The simple silver label sealing the lid advises that this should be “mixed like vodka.” When I opened the lid you could smell the sweet apple. It smelled amazing, quite warming, and definitely strong notes of spiced apple. I know that it says to drink with a mixer but I was keen to try it on its own, neat. Without a mixer, Clean V tastes a bit like apple schnapps, really sweet and you definitely don’t get that “judder” from vodka! I quite liked it and was definitely keen to try it with a series of different mixers.
The spiced apple Clean V tastes great with lemonade, lemon and lime fizzy and also with soda water. It’s a great fruity drink and I’m keen to try it with some other mixers. To me, with the cinnamon notes in the drink, it’s definitely a winter drink. I can picture myself chilling out on an autumn or winter day. I find the non-alcoholic spirit really tasty. But the spiced apple was a tiny bit strong for me but next time I will just add a bit less.
One of the good selling points about Clean V is that it’s not full of sugar to make it sweet. Following a healthy eating plan, Clean V fits around my plan as it’s low in calories. This means that when I’m enjoying it, I’m not worrying too much about it being unhealthy. It’s only 13 calories per 50ml measure … Perfect!
I’m absolutely loving the bottle that Clean V Vodka was contained in. I am looking forward to enjoying the rest of the bottle and using it as a decorative item around the house. Fairy lights are definitely going to feature highly in the empties and I’m keen to try out more of the range. The range is great and I think gives a good variety. I like the names of the spirits. You have the Clean V (vodka), then non-alcohol variations of rum, tequila, whiskey, and a number of gin varieties. It was good to see that the range is available in supermarkets but also the https://clean.co/ website is easy to use and navigate around. I like that you can also get these purchases direct on a subscription basis and I will definitely be buying more from the range from this British based company. Non-alcoholic spirits have never tasted so good!
Rating: 4/5 – I really really liked this product and would try others in the range. It’s great value for money with a lot of other brands coming in much higher price.
