Aldi Safety Dealer Boots Review

Reviewed by Norman Totton

Having my own transit van and running a business as a ‘Man and Van’, I was very pleased to receive the opportunity to review the Safety Dealer Boots from Aldi. I am frequently called upon to manhandle heavy household objects such as washing machines and fridge-freezers with all the attending dangers of dropping one of these heavy and awkward pieces of machinery on my foot!

The boots don’t particularly look like work boots, they look more like Chelsea boots and in my opinion look good worn with a pair of jeans. As they are elasticated above the ankle area they are easy to put on (no endless lacing to do) and are very comfortable to wear. I wear a size 8 shoe but the size 8 boot I received had a very generous fitting, so I simply bought a pair of insoles and together with wearing two pairs of socks solved the problem.

I haven’t been able to test the steel toe cap owing to a lack of washing machines to move but my wife and children gladly stepped into the breech by jumping on the toes of my boot-clad feet several times and the boots survived. The tread on the boots is pretty deep so I think they will safe to wear during the winter snow and ice, and the soles are both oil and acid resistant.

At the price of £14.99 I believe these boots are a very good investment to keep toes and feet both safe and warm not just over the winter but throughout the rest of the year as well.

They are available in sizes 8-11, in brown or black.
