Angel’s Face Silver Cloud Tutu Review
Silver Cloud Tutu
Reviewed by Erica Bourn
The magic begins as soon as the beautifully packaged box arrives, with a candy stripe wrapping around the gorgeous vintage style, gift hat box. The tutu itself is upturned in the box, so the recipient gets the impression of a sumptuous bouquet, albeit a lasting, fluffy and utterly fabulous tutu one!
You will be spoilt for choice when deciding just which to order, as Angel’s Face offers over forty colours to choose from. My little girl said she wanted to be a star on the top of the Christmas tree (as you do when you are 2.5), so the Silver Cloud one seemed the right choice, and is proving incredibly versatile with outfit combinations. Comprehensive size guide with measurements gives you the confidence to ensure that you will get the perfect fit, which is so important if you choose to buy online rather than one of the network of authorised retailers.
When you take the tutu from the box, the quality is immediately apparent, with the garment springing to its full magnificence and displaying the fantastic ruffles. The fabric is super soft and the tutu very light in comparison to the fullness it creates, and beautifully finished with coordinating plush satin ribbon to create a magnificent bow. My daughter immediately asked to put it on, and within seconds it was obvious that she felt like a little princess, twirling around the room and exclaiming ‘look at me!’ Can I admit to not being a particularly girly, girl yet this tutu brought a lump to my throat when I saw how cute it looked on – the only slight issue I have is trying to get it off her… not quite right for the school run in mid-November!
I can see the tutu being an absolute favourite in this house for years to come, perfect for parties, weddings and just for being fabulous. They would make a wonderful gift and a perfect prom or flower girl outfit, with coordinating tops and accessories, and tutu dresses, also available from Angel’s Face, and even a petticoat for teddies (on my daughters Father Christmas list!).
The tutu we received retails at £54, although prices do vary dependant on size from £35. I think it’s fair to say that this isn’t the cheapest on the market, but the quality of cheaper skirts just does not compare. As a designer, exquisitely made ‘show stopper’ of a tutu I think is good value for money, and in all honestly the look on my daughters face when she’s in it makes it worth it in spades.
An Angel’s Face tutu like ours can be bought from over 300 stockists worldwide including Selfridges, John Lewis and House of Fraser in the UK, or are available online direct at Angel’s Face | Designer Tutu Skirts and Dresses. I would fully recommend Santa pays them a visit, as any big or little girl would be delighted to receive one and unlock her inner princess – even if it would be styled with DM’s or Converse for older girls.
