I am a busy mum of 3 with disabilities.  I was sadly diagnosed with  Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Hypermobility Type, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue syndrome back in 2016.  What I call ‘Painsomnia’ was really affecting both how much I slept and the quality of my sleep.  I would struggling to get to sleep, often moving from position to position to find the one where I was least n pain.    Some nights it would be the early hours of the morning before I finally drifted off to sleep.   As someone who has 3 children, runs her own business part-time and is a part-time law student, this is far from ideal.  Sometimes I would stay in bed for 12+ hours in the hope of scraping together 7-8 hours of broken sleep within that time period.   The problem was though that pain would then tend to wake me at a certain time of the morning and no matter how much I wanted to go back to sleep I rarely managed to.

Fast forward to now, and things are so different.    Linthorpe Beds kindly offered me a Sleepeezee Back Care Extreme 1000 Mattress to review.   This was recommended having weighed up what Linthorpe Beds best suited my needs.    Their customer service team kept me well informed with regards delivery dates and were so helpful and informative.   On the day the mattress was delivered, 2 friendly but professional male members of staff kindly carried the mattress up to my bedroom, removed the plastic protective packaging and placed it on my bed base.

I opted for the 4 foot 6 double mattress, but the mattress is also available in single, small double, kingsize, superking and superking zip and link sizes.   What struck me first of all was how deep the mattress looked compared previous mattresses I have owned.  There is nothing worse than feeling the springs through a mattress.   When I looked up the specifications of the mattress on the Linthorpe Beds website I was amazed to read that my mattress contains 1,000 springs.   1000 of them and I cannot feel a single one of them pressing into me! The mattress is 24 cm deep.  It has a real luxury look to it, without the luxury price tag.   The firm tension is perfect for me.

I couldn’t wait to test out sitting and lying on it.  I have one word to describe the feeling when I first did this and that word is ‘wow’.  I got to sleep so quickly the first night it arrived and I did not move positions multiple times before dropping off to sleep.   I had such a restful night’s sleep too.  I only woke up due to needing to use the bathroom.  Where has this mattress been all my life?  Since that first night I have slept so much better and whilst I do have chronic pain issues with my medical conditions, the mattress seems to minimise how much the pain effects my sleep.   I hope to eventually replace my twin sons’ single mattresses with Sleepeezee ones.  The mattress represents real value for money and even comes with a 5 year guarantee.  You can even pay extra when ordering your mattress on the Linthorpe Beds website to have your old mattress recycled.   I feel as if I have a whole new bedroom thanks to this mattress and it gives my home a real cosy feel to it.

Rating: 5/5 and I would score the mattress higher is I could
