NHP Nourishing Hair Bath Review

Reviewed by Lynn Miles

The product is in an attractively shaped bottle with the NHP (Natural Haircare Program) logo on the front. Although the packaging states the product is a “nourish hair bath” and the ingredients it is not clear from the front of the bottle whether it is a shampoo, a combined shampoo and conditioner or a conditioning product.

The writing on the back of the bottle is in an extremely small and difficult to read font. It does, however, state that the product is a “shampoo” and gives directions for use.

I have used the product twice now. It has a lovely fragrance and made my hair smell nice after use. On the website it states to product protects colour on coloured hair. As my hair is coloured (red) I thought it would be OK to use. However, after the first use my colour appeared to have faded considerably and there was no shine to it. I decided to give the product one more try to see if the results were any better but sadly they were not. As a result I have not used the product since. The results may be better on non-coloured hair.

With regard to price.  On most websites selling this product it retails for around £10. Personally I would not be happy to pay that price for this product.

Attractively packaged and fragranced product. Slightly overpriced. Difficult to read instructions on the back of the packaging. Not recommended for coloured hair.
