Gaia also known as Mother Nature, a Greek Goddess. Having received a lovely smelling and calming candle from Gaia Skincare who pride themselves using 95% high quality natural ingredients in all their products.
I was extremely dubious that lighting a mere candle would help me relax after a long stressful day; it was an evening after a long day of travelling to and back from a hospital forty minutes away; I was totally stressed and felt defeated. So I lit the candle, laid back in a darkened room to let the magic begin.
Everyone I know believe that lavender is the go to for relaxing; as a young mum I remember having little pouches of lavender under my pillow to help me relax. But I am now learning from Gaia Skincare that there are different herb scents that can be put together that blend into a very sweet aroma that enhances calming and comfort. This candle is like a wizard that put a spell on the room, where everything changed for me from being fidgety, tense and my brain was working overtime, my body and mind went AHH. The scent was not over powering, it lingered around the room, this sweet earthy smell that changed how I was feeling. I have never felt like this before from using products that proclaim to help calm.
Gaia also sent me pillow spray to help sleep through their calming ingredients. This was a much welcomed surprise, I find I am falling asleep watching television or reading but as my head hit the pillow, it’s like an alarm goes ‘ping’ and I’m wide awake. So, having heard from others I spoke to about using pillow spray to help me sleep, they all said try it; it works and you will be falling asleep in a calm and relaxed way.
So, who is behind Gaia and what else do they sell. I found out from their website that founder Diane Nettleton had a vision to produce an array of products that promote wellness using natural produce. She knew her brand was built on friendships, connections, experiences and consideration for others and the environment. It brings a higher level of wellness to the spa industry – a perfect place to enjoy the company of friends and meet others while being pampered.
All their products are hand made using the finest ingredients, each of these are thoughtfully selected to enhance how it makes us feel and what each ingredient promotes. I really love that on their website under ‘ingredientology’ they explain the uses and what each ingredient promotes and how they aid us; for example: lemon which is widely known has detoxifying, antiseptic and stimulating effects. It is one of the great sources of vitamins that boost our immune system; this is probably the reason why through my treatments it is the one go to fruits.
Gaia have so many wonderful products for skincare for your face and body. But they also do home items, like candles for different types of moods and boosts. They also have featured spas all over the world.
These products make the perfect gift for the special person in your life. I realise the prices are a bit high but these products are worth every penny.
