Chelsea Football Club 2022 Calendar Musical Gift Box Set Review

The Gift Box Set was sent to me from Danilo Promotions Ltd. It arrived packaged in a sturdy carboard box. The Gift Box itself is Chelsea blue and at its centre the Chelsea Football Club Badge is embossed silver in colour, on the rim of the box is printed CHELSEA FC and PRIDE OF LONDON. Any Chelsea fan would be happy to receive this especially when they lift the lid to hear a musical rendition of ‘Blue is the colour, Football is the game….’ A well-known song that has been a favourite on the terraces of Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s home ground. The box alone can have many future uses and is promoted as a Keepsake Box, ideal for football memorabilia.
Inside I found a ‘Certificate of Authenticity’, it informs me the 2022 Collector’s Edition box set is limited edition mine is 0812 of 1800, therefore this is quite a bespoke gift and unlikely to be duplicated. The contents of the box are protected by tissue paper sealed with a sticker of the Chelsea Football Club Badge.
We then come to the Official 2022 Calendar. On its cover are five current players wearing the teams kit featuring the club’s badge or crest and several sponsors logos. Each double page is dedicated to a month of the year, practically laid out from Monday to Sunday. There is a useful section blocked out so you to write your own notes and important dates are mentioned such as New Year’s Day. The top of each page has a photograph of a member of the team, some are in pairs to ensure all are featured, 18 in total, the whole squad I presume. I should mention that Danilo Promotions Ltd who published the Calendar and indeed the accompanying diary have written a disclaimer saying that ‘while every effort is made to ensure that the players in this calendar are correct at the time of going to press…’ And as any football fan knows…’it’s a funny old game’. So, I understand changes can occur in a fast-paced season.
Inset into the base of the box is an A5 sized diary for 2022, following the same Chelsea blue and the silver crest of the badge design. It has all the features you would expect from a quality diary from 2022 and 2023 year to view and a yearly planner over a two-page spread. Each date in the main body of the diary has ample space to record your appointments etc. and a separate section for notes. What makes this diary appeal to its intended audience, i.e., a Chelsea Fan, is at the beginning of each month there is a double- page photograph depicting ‘Iconic Premier League Moments’ dating back to 1993 up to the 2019/20 season. This will bring back proud memories for dedicated fans.
Finally, there is a very smart black pen, it is silver tipped and features the club’s badge. Santa will be delivering this Gift Box Set to a man who tries his hardest never to miss a match.
