Learning Resources Create-a-Space See Thru Storage Caddy Review

I love to have a tidy and organised office and playroom and great storage is the key. Sometimes though, you need that storage to be mobile and that’s where the Create-a-Space See Thru Storage Caddy from Learning Resources comes in handy. The caddy is a portable storage centre, with four separate compartments all with lids. The Caddy comes in clearly branded box and is in two parts, the caddy itself, complete with base, and the lids already on and the carry handle. This is packaged separately within one of the compartments, but just pushes into the stem to complete the item.

The compartments are thick see- through plastic, so you can clearly see the contents inside, and come with four colourful lids. They are the same shape, square with rounded corners, but all have different heights, two will fit pens for example, the other two are shallower so would only fit crayons or similar. It’s a fairly small caddy that will take roughly a large handful of pens so ideal for everyday use on your desk, or to have coloured pencils to hand for homework. Each separate caddy fits on to a white base via an indent in the bottom, and you can remove just one or any combination of them at any one time. The blue carry handle is a really good size and comfortable to use making it suitable for an adult or child. Picking it up and moving it was light and easy making it very simple to move to another room.

I really liked the look of this storage caddy but with a few days use I found the coloured lids to be somewhat flimsy, and so they ended up never getting put on properly, which is a shame, I feel the design needs a little tweak with sturdier lids. I also found it quite small, so found I needed to be very selective with what I put in it as I didn’t have a lot of items that would fit into the smallest compartment. After a few days I decided to switch use of the caddy from desk use to using for storing cooking ingredients. I found it to be very useful for my cake decorating items, keeping everything to hand. I could easily grab it from the cupboard to find my chocolate chips, walnuts and mini marshmallows.

I believe there to be many different uses for the Create -a – Space storage caddy, it would be very handy if you are a crafter for instance or needed to store buttons, zips etc anything where you need to see what you have immediately. The caddy is a good product but I thought it was priced a little on the high side at £18.00, however the colourful lids and portability of it does give it the edge over similar storage items on the market. If you like to see what you have at one glance and you need the ability to move items round then the Create-a-Space Storage Caddy is a great choice.
