When is a slipper not a slipper? Well, Warmies Marshmallow Microwaveable Boots take slippers to a whole new level. They are like a slipper and hot water bottle combined if you can imagine how amazing that sounds on these cold evenings! They would make a lovely Christmas gift for someone who has cold feet or is trying to save money on rising energy bills by wrapping up and using less fuel. So good for the environment too.

Warmies Microwaveable boots arrived in a strong cardboard box (you can feel how snuggly they are through a cutout window on the front and you can already smell the delicious real lavender, sourced from growers in Provence, France, which is soothing and relaxing. Just what you need for tired and aching feet, after a busy day.

They are perfectly functional slouchy slippers in their own right but they also contain a filling material that warms up when microwaved. You just need to pop each boot into the microwave for around one minute (depending on the power rating of your microwave it may require slightly longer) to activate this fantastic warming sensation! The slippers are made from great quality material with extra thick soles to maintain the shape. I received a grey pair to review but they are also available in beige, pink and cream.

Once heated through just pop the slippers onto your feet and you instantly feel the warmth on those cold toes. My feet were like blocks of ice and after putting these toasty slippers on my toes were immediately lovely and warm and kept that way for the rest of the evening.

The microwavable boots are one size and fit sizes 3-7. I am actually nearer to a size 8 and with wide feet and they worked great so there is some leeway. They are definitely indoor slippers and have no firm structure to them (more like a sturdy sock) and it isn’t recommended you get them wet. You can sponge down if needed and air dry before use.

If you don’t have a microwave you can alternatively pop your Warmies on the radiator and this can heat up the product.

They also work the opposite way and can be placed in the freezer to cool down your feet, which would have been really good in our summer heat wave, or if you have an injury that requires cold compress. If you have concerns about safety you canhave peace of mind as they are manufactured to comply with US ASTM f963-11 safety standards, and meet the CPSIA regulations.
