Vin Crowd Drinks

Brand new drinks brand VIN CROWD has launched a crisp trio of summery low-calorie spritz drinks in can and listed by Heart as one of the best canned alcoholic drinks of summer 2020!

The range initially comprises a choice of flavours and different taste profiles across three variants; a White Spritz, Pink Spritz and a Botanical Spritz (rrp: £2.25 / 250ml), with the drinks containing  between 91 and 139 calories per can. 

The trio had been introduced to “make a play” for the growing canned alcoholic beverage market, which continues to gain momentum, and is growing year on year. 

The canned range had been developed for on-the-go and informal drinking occasions where convenient, refreshing and lower calorie options are in strong demand. 

It’s recommended that drinks are served chilled, with fruit over ice, but can be enjoyed straight from the can. Vin Crowd is perfect for those looking for that sweet spot between a glass of wine and a heavier gin and tonic. With the weather changing fast and wanting to hold on to the last of the warm days, I prepared my tastebuds for a fruity summertime sensation! I had the great pleasure of trying these three flavours and I although I very much enjoyed two of the flavours, I was left with very mixed feelings about the third. My first and favourite, STRAWBERRY FEELS FOREVER, a crisp strawberry and raspberry based pink spritz (and only 91 calories!!!!) and my second, WIN-WIN, RASPBERRY & GIN, a fruity botanical spritz made from raspberries, juniper and gin (again, only 139 calories!!!!). 

Both these allowed me to enjoy the luxury of an alcoholic drink whilst knowing that the calorie intake was at a bare minimum. These drinks are packed full of flavour and the botanical spritz is definitely the sweeter spritz out of the three. The third, A BREATH OF FRESH PEAR, left me feeling slightly confused as I wasn’t entirely sure if the drink aimed at being a spritzer or a cider. A zesty peaches and pears white spritz (94 calories) which I couldn’t finish.

In spite of not enjoying the pear flavour, the refreshing change of flavours has definitely made this beverage brand a firm favourite of mine! The contents of one can fills a standard wine glass perfectly and these cans are perfect for any picnic or get together. I highly recommend these attractively packaged beverages for anyone who would like to have a drink but simultaneously keep an eye on their calorie intake.
