The TP Splash & Play Happy Chef Wooden Mud Kitchen is a fantastic addition to our family garden. My four year old daughter has had so much fun this week whipping up some delicious mud cakes and pies.
It was sent direct from TP Toys. It arrived very quickly. It came flat packed and was easy to build. It appears to be good quality. Made from sustainable FSC certified timber with a plastic sink. It’s the perfect size. It doesn’t take up too much room but has plenty space for my two kids to get stuck in and play. It also fits perfectly into the kids wooden garden wendy house which was a bonus!
It looks super cute with four hobs, an oven or cupboard a sink with full working tap which works by a pump and a shelf underneath. There are also a set of adorable little metal pots, pans and whisk which adds that extra special touch to the kitchen and has provided no end of creativity to my daughters playing. The working tap has really made the kitchen come to life. Providing mud at literally the pump of a tap. We have played with sand, water and mud. It really is so versatile and easy to clean.
My daughter just loves to roll play with one of her favourite things to do is playing in her kitchen in the house so this mud kitchen has been a huge hit. It has meant that with the nicer weather recently she has been outside playing in the garden with this kitchen rather than cooped up in the house. It really has provided hours of fun and encouraged her imagination enormously. Albeit provided much more washing for me. But it has been well worth it for the hours of peace I have got to relax in the garden eating mud pie 🙂
Although it’s the ideal size for a large toddler it could easily be as much fun for older and taller kids alike. My eight year old niece and seven year old nephew had great fun playing with it while visiting one afternoon. I suspect it’s going to be one of those toys that we have for years and that all kids whatever age will be drawn to and will just love playing with it while at the house. I suppose what kid doesn’t like roll playing and mud?
The kitchen retails at £129 but is sold widely on the internet and can be sourced slightly cheaper from £89 upwards. It is a little pricey but you do get value for money compared to some of the cheaper alternatives on the market. So if you can splash out then I would certainly recommend it. I don’t think my kids will tire of it anytime soon. I think it will last for years and provide endless amount of fun. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. Therefore I will give this sustainable very cute mud kitchen a huge dirty 5 stars out of 5.
